·DevelopmentCMSWhy I Switched to a Headless CMS.
For the longest time, I relied on WordPress for every project. It worked, but the developer experience was becoming increasingly painful. Constant plugin updates, security patches, and the monolithic architecture made every deployment feel like a gamble.
The Tipping Point
The moment I realised I needed a change was when a client's site went down because of a plugin conflict during a critical product launch. That was the push I needed to explore headless options like Sanity, Contentful, and Strapi.
Why Sanity Won
Sanity's real-time collaboration, flexible schema system, and GROQ query language made it stand out. The ability to define content models in code and version-control them alongside my frontend was a game-changer for team workflows.
The Results
Deployment confidence went through the roof. Page load times dropped dramatically. Content editors were happier with the custom Studio interface. And I could finally use the frontend framework I wanted without being locked into PHP.
